We shoot at many different locations here in northern Nevada and YES we love to travel! We usual start by asking you if you'd like an urban scene or country area. There are many local ranches that we love shooting at as well as the downtown area.
So it is totally up to you and the look you'd like to portray in your senior portraits!

While in Vegas for WPPI this year I had the opportunity to photograph some incredibly gorgeous and handsome seniors as well as work alongside other amazing photographers!
A big "Thank You" to the wonderful models, parents, mentors, mua & hair and clothing stores!

Stay tuned for Part 2!
We want you to be comfortable. It shows in your images when you don't feel like yourself. But, don't limit yourself to a t-shirt and jeans!
Girls, bring your prom dress and layer up other outfits. Bring a jacket, different tank tops, jewelry!

Boys, I know you're probably good with one outfit, but bring a few, just in case. A nice button up for mom!

Girls & Boys like to hunt? Bring some camo and your rifle or shotgun! In sports? Bring a jersey, your mitt, a ball. Do you play guitar? Bring that along!

We love customizing your senior session with what YOU enjoy. This is your day. This is your time to shine. It is ALL about you!
Last but not least, bring something sentimental. Whether it's of your time in high school, a moment in your life you want to live on or something your mom really wants you to have a picture with.
Mackenzie's Story:
Her mom called me the summer before she started her senior year. As I sat on my porch talking over how we run our business she said she had an odd request. I listened to the quiver in her voice as she told me the story of Mackenzie's father passing. She mentioned she had some old photographs and wanted Mackenzie to hold them and take a picture with them. She also had his letter-man jacket from high school she wanted to incorporate. What a touching story and we were happy to make this request for Mackenzie and her mom. In this moment, we told Mackenzie to really feel her dad, remember him, and know that he is here with her today. Mackenzie did great and even though she was very emotional, she didn't shed a tear in that moment, but the rest of us did. We were humbled to be trusted with such an important job-to create a lasting memory for this incredible family to look back on.

The earlier, the better! We love talking with high school juniors about their unique photo session! If you want guaranteed warm weather here in northern Nevada, book your session the summer before your senior year! We book about 3 months in advance and there are only so many weekends available! If you're in sports, that's something to be thinking about! We open up a certain amount of Sunday's for those who are running non-stop with sports throughout the year, but they go quickly!
If you're wanting that gorgeous fall look in Lamoille (let's face it, that's the only place we get color around here) you need to book in the summertime. Spring is busy busy! We get all of the procrastinating seniors!! Yes, every year! Our turnaround time for your finalized gallery is 3-4 weeks. Keep that in mind when you need to send our your graduation invitations!
